Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has described the republic as one of the best in the world.

Addressing a program organized at Sainik Manch Tundikhel on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the 14th anniversary of the establishment of the republic, Prime Minister Deuba said that all the political parties and the people would need support for the further development of the republic institutionalized through the constitution.

He said that the political revolution from 2077 BS to 2062 BS had achieved political achievements like republic in the country and now a competitive multi-party system of governance has been established in the country.

He also said that it was a matter of pride to be a citizen of an independent and sovereign country and to be governed by elected representatives elected by the people.

According to Prime Minister Deuba, the recent local elections have been held in a fair, free and fearless manner and the state and federal parliamentary elections will also be held this year.

He also paid tribute to the martyrs who were martyred in the political revolution for the realization of civil rights.

Prominent personalities of the country including President Vidyadevi Bhandari were present on the occasion.
